SVIA is pleased to announce the first in-person Spring Seminar that will be held on May 2-4, 2023 (Tuesday-Thursday) at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. The 2023 Spring Seminar focuses on how major issues such as the pandemic, market volatility, global economic and political uncertainty are shaping retirement and financial well-being for our workforce. The Seminar will also feature roundtables on stable value and how recordkeepers see and address these challenges through their unique perspective. The Seminar balances these informative meeting sessions with plenty of time for informal small group meetings and networking.

Dress for the Spring Seminar is business casual.

SVIA has reserved a limited number of rooms at the Ritz Carlton for attendees at a special rate of $329 + $35 resort fee. Room reservations should be made when you register for the conference. To obtain SVIA’s rates and ensure you have lodging at the conference hotel, reservations must be made directly through SVIA.

Children’s Programs & Child Care

The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes recognizes the power of curiosity and creativity and strives to inspire it with kid-friendly activities. Drawing upon the natural beauty of our Orlando resort, our Ritz Kids room is sure to keep our younger guests entertained. Our hotel provides captivating opportunities through storytelling, lessons on animal care, arts and crafts, physical activities and much more. From 10am – 4pm the Ritz-Kids program provides an excellent drop off program for kids ages 4-12. A full day program that costs $175 and includes lunch is offered. Additionally, 2 half day programs, 10am – 1pm and 1:30pm – 4pm, are offered for $100 and include a snack. The Kids Night Out service also operates from 6pm – 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Additional off-site babysitting services are also available.

Theme Parks & Activities

Explore a world of amusement, culture, and sunshine. Orlando is among the most popular and diverse destinations in the United States. The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes is the perfect place to discover all that Florida has to offer. While the Ritz-Carlton is not partnered with the local theme parks in any way, the Concierge team is happy to answer any questions guests may have, as we are all very experienced with and knowledgeable of the surrounding parks and attractions. The Concierge team also has our own lists of off-property attractions we recommend.

The Ritz-Carlton provides complimentary shuttles between the hotel and some of the theme parks here in Orlando. There are not direct shuttles to all the Disney parks, however guests can use the provided transportation to reach Epcot or Magic Kingdom and use Disney’s complimentary transportation to reach their final destination. Please refer to the shuttle schedule to give you a better idea of the timing and note that advanced reservations are required for the morning shuttles, but reservations are not required for the evening returning shuttles.

The Ritz-Carlton recommends purchasing tickets for the theme parks directly from the park website or app. The concierge team is happy to help guide guests through the purchasing process and answer any questions they may have about ticket types. Additionally, the Concierge team at the JW Marriott next door are licensed ticket sellers if guests prefer to buy their tickets in person.

Shuttle Transportation

Offered complimentary as part of the Resort Amenity Program. Additional charges may apply for guests outside of the program. Reservations are required and must be made before 9:00 PM the night prior. Reservations are not taken for departures from parks. Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes. prior to departure time. Early bird discounts are applied automatically when registering.

SVIA Cancellation Policy

Requests for registration fee refunds (less a $450 processing fee) will be honored only if received before 5:00PM EDT, 30 days prior to the start of the conference. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 30 of the conference. SVIA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. All cancellations should be submitted in writing to SVIA via email or mail. All refunds will be made after the conference.
