Yes, all in-person attendees must provide proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test within five days of the event and are required to sign the SVIA’s COVID-19 Safety Acknowledgement Form.
SVIA adheres to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s guidelines well as the CDC’s guidelines for in-person events. At this time, Virginia no longer requires face masks to be worn. However, SVIA cannot guarantee that participants in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19.
It means:
- Masks are now optional for in-person attendance,
- Face masks are not required when eating or drinking.
Virginia no longer requires that face masks be worn for in-person events. However, most companies still require employees, and some employees elect to wear face masks. All surfaces are regularly cleaned and sanitized to prevent the spread of COVID. Touch points have been minimized upon check-in and during your stay. Check in is at 4 p.m. and check out is noon.
For those who may drive and require parking, please check directly with the hotel since parking and valet services have been impacted by the pandemic.
SVIA’s release form, which is a requirement for in-person attendance requires anyone who becomes symptomatic and/or confirms that he or she has contracted COVID to notify SVIA immediately at events@stablevalue.org. Should this happen, SVIA will alert all attendees of exposure to COVID.
Further, SVIA is collaborating with the Embassy Suites, to facilitate contact tracing and notification, should other guests in the hotel report COVID illnesses.
If you receive a notification, it means that someone that you were near tested positive for COVID-19 and chose to privately share their diagnosis. The notification will allow you to take action to protect yourself and those around you, like getting tested, seeking medical attention, quarantining, etc.
